Wirral Counselling Services

Integrative Counsellor for trauma anxiety and grieving
Matt Kemp

Prior to launching MK Counselling Services I have worked for organisations supporting those who have been through traumatic experiences such as car crashes or experienced a sudden and unexpected death.

I believe that even in the darkest of times, people have the power within them to recover and get better and I have made it my mission to offer a supportive and accepting place for those who need it.

If you have any questions at all, please get in touch.

MK Counselling Services

Help to change the things you can and accept the things you can’t

There are times when life can seem overwhelming and we can end up feeling low, stuck or anxious.

As your therapist you can expect me to listen, treat you as an individual and be non-judgemental as we explore the difficulties that you are facing.

I believe that you are the expert on your life experiences and how it feels to be you. Working from a primarily humanistic perspective, I am here to provide you with a calm, safe and supportive environment to work through what has brought you here.

Experience

After qualifying, my counselling journey led me to working closely with those who had experienced traumatic situations as well as those who have suffered the unexpected loss of a loved one, a family member or a friend.

Since then I have qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I am currently offering private evening sessions using Teams, FaceTime or telephone from my counselling service in the Wirral

Your First Session

It is completely natural to feel some nerves before coming to counselling for the first time. You aren’t alone in this so we will take the time needed to set the boundaries of the relationship in place and you will be free to talk over anything that you wish to.

You will also get the chance to ask any questions that you would like during the first session

Many people find counselling online to be the best match for them. For you to get the most from your sessions, it is important that you have a private space where you feel free to speak.

Sessions on offer are 60 minutes and charged at £45.
